The Road

3 things that make up a good book.

For me, these three things are what make a book good.
#1: It has to be different, something has to set it apart from all the others.
#2: It has to have a few twists in it. To keep you interested.
#3: The book NEEDS a beautifully crafted ending. It has to make you wish that the book wasn't over.

Does "The Road" by Cormac McCarthy have these three things? Yes!
#1: Something that sets this book apart from the rest is that is has no dialogue markers, and no punctuation marks (" " doesn't appear to mark when dialogue starts, and ' doesn't appear in words like wasn't. They are spelled normally, but without the ' as in wasnt).
#2: The Road has some very surprising and often dark plot twists that you never expect. I can't give anything away.
#3: For me, the ending of The Road was indeed beautifully crafted, sad, and inspiring. It is by far my favorite
ending for any book.

The Road has all 3 things to make it a good book.
